Wind Potential Assessments – Kula Project, Serbia

Client: EPS - Electric Power Industry of Serbia, Serbia

Name of partner(s): NetInvest d.o.o., Serbia

Start/Completion Date: January 2009 – January 2011

Project description: Consortium was made up of the companies S.E.E.C. Ltd. (lead of the consortium) and NetInvest d.o.o. (member of the consortium) to do wind potential assessments in Bačka region, part of Serbia (near Kula). JP EPS had one measurement mast. The mast is 50 m high and has three measurement levels for wind speed and two for wind direction measurements. Air temperature, pressure and relative humidity were measured from one level at 5 m above ground. Also it was needed to determine:

SEEC provided very sophisticate analysis with numerical models of wind projects (GH WindFarmer and WAsP). Analysis include information about average wind speeds, MCP results, wind distributions, turbulence, optimal layouts, production estimations (net and gross), cost-benefits, etc. The Main Project Characteristics are:
