Project description: Task of our experts was to perform due diligence services on behalf financing parties. The service included three tasks. First, based on the results of GIS project, least-cost expansion planning activities including updating of demand forecast, fuel cost data, economic, data etc. Second, revision of GIS least cost expansion plan considering TPP Maritza East 1 as candidate project competing with other regional candidate projects planned for (re)construction. Third, sensitivity analyses within South East Europe Regional Electricity Market. Work has been successfully finalized at the end of June 2005. Within this Study activities of SEEC included the following:

• Revision of the GIS input data and results specially concerning the TPP Maritza East 1 in Bulgaria;
• Analyses of the least cost expansion plan considering the TPP Maritza East 1 as candidate project competing with other candidate projects;
• Determination of the robustness of the obtained results through several sensitivity analyses
• Draft final report and final report preparation.
