Project description: The main objective of the study was to make an inventory of the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from electricity generation (incl. CHP) as well as the projected increase by 2020, based on the generation forecast. It also listed potential and actual abatement measures in each Contracting Party. Furthermore, the study assessed the impact of any agreement following-up on the Kyoto Protocol, taking into account the situation of the Contracting Parties there under. Finally, recommendations for better policy-making have been made for Western Balkans - parties of the Energy Community (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo - UNMIK).
