Project description: Tetra Tech Inc. subcontracted SEEC to assist them in implementing the Development of Regional Energy Markets (DREM) Project in Serbia. The objective of the project was to conduct the in-depth market research and analyses of energy sector market players in Serbia. Project is financed by U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
The following energy sector categories have been analysed: electricity (including renewables), oil, gas, coal and district heating. SEEC has undertaken a primary and secondary research to prepare a comprehensive data and analyses for all market players, including: relevant analyses of the stakeholders involved in defining or otherwise influencing the policies, strategy and regulation for the sectors in Serbia, sector entities that own or operate assets in Serbia, EPC Contractors in the relevant sectors, Commodity/Trade Suppliers (local and international), Capital/Funding/Equity provider/Debt providers, analyses of the Trade/Transport Networks that facilitate trade with neighbouring countries and PR/NGOs/opinion makers/entities influencing the sector decisions in Serbia. Also, short overview of Serbia’s energy sector by category, with an explanation of the operating and governance model of the sector as well as the roles and responsibilities of local and international government, quasi government or private entities in the country was prepared.
