Potential HPP Kupinski Kut and HPPs Morava in the Frame of Integral Water Resources Management of the Sava River - Pre-feasibility studies, Serbia

Project description: The aim of this study was to analyze river Sava hydro power potential, especially HPP Kupinski Kut and HPP Morava 1 to 6. As a result, recommendations and conclusions regarding realization of these projects were provided. Main structures for HPP Provo on Sava River are- spillway with radial gates for 6600 m3/s, 3 gravity parts (dam) height cca 21 m, powerhouse as constituted part of dam, navigation lock, fish way. HPPs are river –type, with installed capacity 58 MW and average annual production 340 GWh/year. Main structures for HPP Svilajnac, as representative HPP on Morava river are- spillway with radial gates for 3050 m3/s, 2 gravity parts (dam) height cca 20 m, powerhouse as constituted part of dam, fish way, and possibility for future extension with navigation lock. HPP is run of river type, with installed capacity 37 MW and average annual production 130 GWh/year. The study had taken into consideration following tasks:

 

 

Financially side of above mentioned hydro energy objects HPP on Sava River and HPP Morava 1-6 also was presented within this pre-feasibility study.
