Project description: The purpose of the services (Consulting Services for technical support in the execution of Montenegro’s Energy Efficiency Program in Public Buildings) was to provide complete, comprehensive and professionally prepared Energy Audits, Design, Tendering and Construction Supervision Services as well as strengthening the Ministry’s professional competence base in the implementation of EEPPB. The Services rendered will provide fulfilment of the relevant criteria for energy efficiency for up to 30 educational buildings throughout the country. The services performed are as follows:

• Preparation of methodology and selection criteria for walk through and detailed audits for public buildings (schools),
• Screening of targeted buildings, performing of Walkthrough Energy Audits (21 schools) and preparation a short-list of eligible projects
• Conduction of Detailed Energy Audits (7 schools) for the buildings on the short-list
• Calculation of potential energy savings
• Analysis of potential for introduction of biomass based heating in schools performed for different available types of biomass and implementation of biomass based heating in several schools
• Analysis of potential for implementation of heat pump heating system in schools in Podgorica, with proposed EE measures.
